12/01/2023 - "One of the hidden gems is Pins and Needles in Westbury-on-Trym, run by Wendy. Her daughter Georgie has started her own shop called The Craft Space, It’s definitely worth a visit, she’s got materials for several crafts (mainly wool, more natural fibres than in the Pins and Needles shop in Westbury-on-Trym). And she does workshops for all kinds of crafts. "

23/05/2022 - "Have you visited Pig and Pip in Chepstow High Street yet? The shop is named after the children's clothing brand, created by shop owner Hayley Miles, which is made exclusively in the shop itself. Inside you will find rails of beautifully bright and fun clothing as well as accessories for all ages including adults. The shop also plays host to 50 local crafters, The Chepstow Craft Collective, who each rent a space to sell their handmade items. These range from quilted bags to candles and original artwork to jewellery. The shop also plays host to weekly sewing classes as well as guest sessions from some of the crafters including wet felting and lino printing."
For more information please visit our Facebook or Instagram pages by searching for @pigandpip or @the.chepstow.craft.collective , email [email protected] or pop in for a browse.

31/07/2020 - "All the shops are quite a distance away. But if you’re in the neighborhood of one of their 8 shops (the nearest is in Shrewsbury), then take a look there. The best thing about the shop is that they sell off-cuts and ends of rolls which they have in big crates and sell by weight rather than by the meter but these are not on the website."

30/06/2020 - "Really helpful. Despite being very busy with online orders they spent a long time on the phone helping to select the fabrics for a grey baby quilt. Grey is a funny colour and if you get it wrong it looks terrible. The fabrics she helped to select were perfect. They have lots of lovely fabrics, a huge range of sewing machines and haberdashery too."

Although Koala Kreations was closed during lockdown you could order online, and if you live close enough, you can collect from the shop, otherwise your order will be posted out. She has some lovely fabrics for quilting and dressmaking and also a good range of haberdashery."

30/04/2020 - "This small haberdashery and knitting shop in Westbury village is still trading with online services and delivery. If you purchase anything it will be left in your driveway if not too far away. The shop is run by Wendy, maybe you know her from Hobbycraft many years ago, she took over the shop from the previous owner on 1st March 2020. Which means she isn’t entitled to any help from the government. We could all help this shop to survive!"
